Honda's First EV: The 2024 Prologue
Honda's First EV: The 2024 Prologue
Honda has a long tradition in the automotive industry. Since 1948, the company has been developing cutting-edge solutions for all kinds of vehicles. Even though the 2024 Prologue is a new addition to the all-electric SUV lineup, Honda has been experimenting with EV technology since the 1980s. So, when it decided to jump into the all-electric trend, it did so from a position of expertise.
The Prologue isn't out yet, but we already know a lot about it. This review shows what you can expect from it.

Notable Changes From The Previous Year
Since this is Honda's first all-electric SUV, all features are completely new. The 2024 Prologue is already available for reservations, and you can also preorder the 2025 and 2026 models.
Performance Specs
This lineup relies on its Ultium rechargeable battery only, without gas components. It means zero tailpipe emission, regardless of your trim choice. The company hasn't yet released horsepower and torque capacity figures, but it's expected to have a driving range above 450 km. Better still, you won't need to wait ages to recharge this battery: its fast-charging system allows you to run up to 100 km after just 10 minutes of charging.
Design Elements
The Prologue is as spacious as you'd expect from an SUV, with a cabin capacity of 3,877 L. This lineup also has an 8-inch-larger wheelbase than the Honda CR-V. This means it should also have more cabin and cargo space than the CR-V.
The dashboard has two screens: an 11.3-inch touchscreen display and an 11-inch digital cluster. The EX-L and Touring models also have a panoramic moonroof, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and heated front seats.
The Prologue comes with 21-inch alloy wheels and has the longest wheelbase in the segment. Honda has elaborated the exterior design, which it defines as "neo-rugged." This vehicle runs seamlessly on city streets as it does on more challenging roads. There are six options for exterior colours: Raven black, mercury silver metallic, scarlet red metallic, Pacific blue metallic, snowfall pearl, and sonic grey pearl.
Technology and Safety Features
All models have Google built-in and wireless charging as standard. The EX-L and Touring trims are equipped with a lavish Bose Premium audio system with 12 speakers and a subwoofer. The flagship model offers a head-up display and a Sport drive mode. Mobile compatibility with Android and Apple devices is standard across the lineup.
The Prologue is also equipped with driving assist technologies and Honda Sensing, which provides a wide array of safety features, ensuring a smooth driving experience for everyone. Standard features include blind zone steering assist and rear cross-traffic braking. A rear pedestrian alert will also be available.
