You'll receive a CARFAX history report if you buy a certified pre-owned Honda vehicle.  Acquiring a vehicle history report will help the buyer feel more confident in their vehicle purchase. Viewed as the most reliable source of recorded data with the Department of Motor Vehicles within its registered state, this detailed document includes the car’s title, retail or trade-in value, mileage, ownership, and accident history. Over 26 billion vehicle records are currently included in the CARFAX database. This information is obtained from various sources, including over 131,000 vehicle bureaus, automotive auctions, vehicle service businesses, insurance corporations, and rental and inspection agencies in Canada and the US.

Exchange Privilege

If you purchase a certified pre-owned Honda and aren’t satisfied, you can exchange the vehicle within seven days or 1,000 km. The vehicle must be exchanged with another certified pre-owned Honda at the dealership. The cut-off is calculated from the date of purchase. The buyer will obtain credit for any differences accrued between the original purchase cost and the price of the replacement vehicle. The buyer will need to pay additional money if the replacement vehicle has a higher price tag. The Exchange Privilege will give any buyer more peace of mind when making their pre-owned purchase.

100 Point Inspection

The 100-point vehicle inspection includes mechanical and appearance criteria. If you purchase a Honda-certified pre-owned vehicle, it's mandatory that the vehicle has been through this inspection. Honda technicians are required to administer the test. If there are any problems with the vehicle, the necessary repairs or parts replacements will need to be done. The aim of the 100 Point Inspection is to ensure that Honda's high levels of quality are maintained.

Powertrain Warranty

The Powertrain Warranty provides another quality assurance for the buyer and is included when purchasing a pre-owned Honda vehicle. 

It's calculated from the original warranty registration date and is activated once the Distributor's Warranty has expired. An original Powertrain warranty only lasts five years or 100,000 km. The Honda Powertrain Warranty offers Canadian buyers more peace of mind as it's extended to seven years or 160,000 km. For even more coverage, a Honda Plus Extended Warranty is also offered.
