2024 Honda Passport: Overview and Specs
The 2024 Honda Passport Overview and Specs
The Honda Passport is the ideal family SUV- it’s not too small and not too big. This peppy car drives easily around town but has Honda’s adventurous spirit to take you into the big, blue wilderness.
Notable Changes From the Previous Year
The major change for 2024 is the updated interior of the Passport. The centre console is both bigger and wider with an integrated armrest. The cubby holes have been redesigned, and there’s space for two smartphones to lie side by side with one on the charging pad.
The Trailsport has been upgraded to include offroad suspension and all-terrain tires on 18-inch wheels.
Trims
There are three trims available for 2024.
The entry-level is the Sport, which starts at $50,614*. Middle of the range is the Trailsport at $54,614*, and at the top of the line is the Black Edition at $58,074*.
Infotainment and Technology Features
The Passport has an 8-inch touchscreen running the infotainment system. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth connectivity, USB charging ports and a wireless charging pad are standard. The audio system has seven speakers, but in the Passport Black Edition, there’s a ten-speaker premium sound system. 115-volt outlets are standard on the Trailsport and Black Edition; the Black Edition also has a Wi-Fi hotspot.
Exterior Design
The Passport has a sleek, modern look with a muscular stance and distinct lines. The LED headlights bracket a distinctive grille featuring the Honda logo. The clean lines lead the eye to the rear, where the LED taillights lie alongside a wide tailgate that makes loading cargo a breeze.
The exclusive Black Edition has a slick look, large dual exhaust tips, and 20-inch Berlina Black alloy wheels with all-season tires.
Interior Comfort and Cargo Space
The Passport’s cabin has a simple, practical layout using attractive materials. The seats are wide and comfortable and upholstered in cloth in the Sport. The Trailsport has orange leather facings and contrast stitching, while the Black edition has red leather facings and contrast stitching. The rear seats have a 60/40 split, and the outboard seats are heated in the Trailsport and Black Edition.
With the seats upright, there are 1430 litres of cargo space. Fold the rear seats down, and this goes up to 2854 litres.
Performance Features
All trims share the same engine, a 3.5-litre, i-VTEC V6 making 280 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque, paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters.
Drivers can expect to get around 12.5 L/100km around town and 9.8 L/100km on the highway.
Safety and Driver Assistance Features
The Passport has a full suite of both active and passive safety features.
